A mundane noble is boasting of his capture of a mysterious creature never before seen in England. He believes it to be one of the Fairies that the Irish are ever going on about since it is a small furred creature with clever hands and has tried repeatedly to escape from the small cage he crafted for it.

Unto Their Majesties Alfour and Soriana Cunningham,
We have decided our course of just retribution and you should be both pleased and honored. We have decided against avenging our fallen Princess, since she was in truth committing vile acts. However, there is still the matter of Strigoi custom which must be observed. One of your number must join the dead. We have decided instead that one will replace our late and lamented Princess. We will bestow upon her wealth and power beyond your greatest imaginings.
The message is not signed and instead there is a bloody hand print.
