One of my students came to my having nearly died today during normal paladin training. First off, was anyone monitoring the courts today? Second off, does anyone know how Marra survived getting her throat cut with a rapier?

Two new students transferred in from out of time. Apparently they are seeking political asylum before their country's political situation got bad for them. I understand they intend to enroll using nicknames. My intention is to resume their education and get them to adjust to this time. Their names are Anya and Lyoshka. I intend to find an older student who can speak Russian to help in Primary until Lyoshka is adjusted.
Also, with regards to Lyoshka. He is not allowed to play rough sports or take part in any of the combat classes without a magical, preferably divinely powered, healer on hand.

We have a bit of a very serious problem. Two students were killed prior to the war, one in her rooms in the Divine dormitories. the students in question are Janet Levi and Rex Forester of Innate House. Both students were killed by another student, Dieter Steinfaust of Innate House, while he was apparently under the effects of a mind altering spell which removed his ability to feel compassion. I am a bit at a loss for what to do. Clearly this needs to be addressed somehow...

Callum,
This is a great tragedy and must be handled with care. Do we know what caused Dieter to act like this (specifically who cast the spell and why when without Compassion he did this anyway? Generally one doesn't kill ,even without compassion, without a reason behind it.

I have some notes on Jaegermonster psychology here along with Dieter's medical records and a report from my apprentice, Talia. It seems that Dieter has not been in the best mental health of late. Perhaps that has something to do with his actions?
